TIME/SETTING

Set in 1924 in a small but lively restaurant

tucked away in Greenwich Village. It’s one of those

eclectic restaurants that doesn’t look nice but is

always packed. Most importantly, the restaurant

has a small dance floor and a great live band.

CHARACTERS

Sally - A witty but naive dishwasher with dreams of being a famous dancer.

Connie - A British expat who lost his royal title. Currently waiting tables to make ends meet.

Rosie - The headliner of the biggest musical revue on Broadway. She’s a generational talent and she knows it.

Otis - An up and coming talent agent who can give Sally her big opportunity and Rosie’s long term partner.

Blaire - A novelist reeling from the failure of his debut book.

Pops - Owner of the restaurant and Connie and Sally’s boss.

Marcia - an heiress currently engaged to Blaire who is also Connie’s bitter ex-lover.
